Man sentenced to life imprisonment

Thirty-nine-year-old Jack Nong was sentenced to life imprisonment, for murder and robbery, on Friday, October 11.

Nong was arrested in December 2012.

This is after the victim was murdered in his own house and then robbed of his belongings.

“At the time of his arrest, Nong was found with the victim’s car, covered in blood and in possession of some of the victim’s belongings, including his gun,” says Lieut Juanita Coetzee, communications officer for the Boksburg North SAPS.

The man appeared in the Boksburg Magistrates Court on October 11, when he was found guilty of murder and robbery.

“He was also found guilty of charges of being in possession of a stolen firearm and being in possession of ammunition,” adds Coetzer.
