According to Santi Steinmann, media liaison officer Netcare 911, upon arrival at the scene, paramedics found that two vehicles were involved in the collision.

“One of the vehicles left the roadway, overturned and crashed through a fence and came to a standstill in a private property,” said Steinmann.

“Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that four people had sustained serious injuries during the accident.

“The injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.

“Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police invesitigation.”
