Mothers welcome bundles of joy on Christmas, New Year’s Day
On Christmas Day, December 25, when family and friends exchanged presents, a few delighted Ekurhuleni mothers gave birth to the most pleasurable Christmas gifts.
The new citizens of Ekurhuleni were welcomed into the world by a delegation headed by the Member of Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Health and Social Development, Clr Makhosazana Mabaso.
The MMC visited Thelle Mogoerane Hospital in Vosloorus followed by Bertha Gxowa Hospital in Germiston and Tambo Memorial Hospital in Boksburg where she celebrated the arrival of the Christmas babies with their mothers.
Speaking to the mothers, Mabaso said: “I am happy that all the babies born today are healthy and so are their mothers. I wish the mothers and their families a Merry Christmas and nothing but good health for their babies.”
The MMC thanked the staff working at the hospitals and encouraged them to continue giving the mothers and their newborns the love and support they need.
The Tambo Memorial Hospital welcomed six healthy babies, four girls and two boys.
The newborns received their first gifts which included Ekurhuleni branded bathtubs, baby blankets and essential baby products.
