The Mine Rescue team sending a camera down the shaft to assess the situation before they could go down.

Mine Rescue workers and DEMS were searching for the body of a 5-year-old boy, Richard Mohlala, who fell into a shaft at the Jerusalem informal settlement on Saturday.

Seen on the video is the team sending a camera down the shaft while watching on the screen to assess the condition of mine, before they could go down.

The search was abandoned at around 7.30pm and is expected to resume today.

Rescue workers were forced to use cameras as the ground was deemed too shaky.
