Taxi strike causes delays on N12 The N12 west towards Johannesburg is reportedly moving at a snail’s pace this morning (June 15).

The South African National Taxi Council (SANTACO) advised commuters to seek alternative transport on Thursday morning as its members will embark on a strike against “high minibus taxi purchase costs”.

The area around Putfontein Road is congested with traffic.

  • By this morning the R21 Highway running next to the airport was clear. There are, however, blockages and protests further towards Pretoria and Johannesburg.
