Conned by fake moneylenders

Victim left high and dry, waiting for his R50 000 loan money.

A Reiger Park man parted with his hard-earned money after he was deceived into depositing his R8 799 into the bank account of a questionable moneylender.

The victim told the Boksburg police he went to apply for a loan and the moneylender asked him to first deposit the aforementioned amount of money so the application could be processed.

He fell right into the trap.

The borrower later went to his bank to inquire about his expected R50 000 loan money.

The bank told him the said lenders are not legit moneylenders and it appeared he had been conned out of his savings.
