Three alleged drug dealers in Reiger Park and Benoni areas were put behind bars by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit on February 15 after nyaope, khat, rocks and crystal meth were confiscated.
According to Kobeli Mokheseng, EMPD spokesperson, a 34-year old female suspect was apprehended during the crime prevention operation in Reiger Park (Ramaphosa) area at 11am.
“This was after officers uncovered 21 knotted plastics of nyaope valued at R840 and R2 160 cash on Idada Road. The woman was taken to Reiger Park Police Station,” Mokheseng said.
Meanwhile, in Benoni on Prince’s Avenue at 2.30pm, two suspects were caught with six ziplock bags of khat, five pieces of rocks, one ziplock bag of crystal meth, valued at R1 800, and R1 450 cash.
The pair was marched to Benoni Police Station.
