Two suspects found with house break-in tools, stolen goods

The security company’s tactical team members spotted two men arguing on the corner of Kingfisher Avenue and Trichardt Street and alerted the armed response unit

Members of Makopano’s task team apprehended two suspects in connection with house burglaries on May 1.
Vanessa Jacobs, Makopano Solutions Group armed response manager, explained the operating task team caught the men around East Village Estate in the early hours of the morning.

“The suspects were found with electronic equipment and were arrested for the possession of suspected stolen goods and house break-in equipment,” said the armed response manager.
She added that these criminals could be linked to various break-ins in the area.

“Due to the increase of house burglaries, Makopano established the task team to specifically focus on the apprehension of these criminals,” she added.

Makopano also nabbed another suspect in the area recently after he was found with illegal substances.
The security company’s tactical team members spotted two men arguing on the corner of Kingfisher Avenue and Trichardt Street and alerted the armed response unit.
“Upon our arrival, one of the suspects attempted to escape the scene; however, we managed to catch him,” Jacobs explained.
The suspect was searched and found with numerous illegal substances.
All suspects were handed over to the Boksburg Police Station and detained.
