Woman hacks another with an axe after quarrel over fat cakes

The suspect allegedly picked an axe and hit the 47-year-old

A 47-year-old woman has recently opened a case of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm at the Boksburg North Police Station after she was allegedly hit on the head with an axe by another woman.

The complainant and the accused woman work as street vendors in Jet Park.

The 47-year-old woman told the police that she asked one of the women she works with to look after her fat cakes that she sells, so that she can rush home because she apparently left her house keys at home.

According to Boksburg North police spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, the 47-year-old then gave the woman the fat cakes to continue selling them for her.

“Another woman who works with them then apparently asked the 47-year-old why she’s asking someone to sell her fat cakes. The 47-year-old then replied by saying that it didn’t concern her,” Ramaube said.

Both women started to quarrel which resorted to the woman allegedly picking up an axe and hitting the 47-year-old on the head.

The 47-year-old sustained head injuries.

Investigations are still continuing. The suspect hasn’t been arrested.
