Home hypermarket Leroy Merlin celebrated Heritage Day by paying homage to the community at their Boksburg branch.
The home deco store invited three schools from the East Rand, namely Laerskool Westwood, Parkrand Primary School (both from Boksburg) and Rynfield Primary School (Benoni).
The fun-filled day saw the three primary schools, whose learners brought their parents along, raise funds through sales of food and beverages to honour the day.
“The day was about the community,” said Leroy Merlin’s Chantel Bissett.
“Now how did we plan to do that? By inviting schools who in turn invited parents.”
The store is situated at the corner of North Rand Road and Bartlett Street, Boksburg.
