Local man writes a book about how to deal with technological challenges

Covid-19 lockdown presented him with an opportunity to finish his book with the guidance of his friend Mzo Bhungane

Former Dawn Park resident Dan Nyabadza has written a book called “Reaching the Summit”.

Dan Nyabadza (27) has done things many people only dream of, like visiting the United Kingdom and writing a book.

The former Dawn Park resident, who studied at Sunward Park High School, has written a book called Reaching the Summit, which is now available for purchase on Amazon and many other independent retailers.

Nyabadza, who is a technologist in the AI research space, has managed to make his mark in the UK and South Africa.

His book is about a discourse on some technological challenges, proposed solutions and a psychological discourse on developing sharp cognitive skills for the digital age.

“This is the first book I have ever written and put together in four years. The advisor on the project suggested we break down the project into three volumes as it was lengthy. Sometime next year, I plan on releasing the second part and it will be followed by the third one,” Nyabadza said.

The young multi-talented technologist said the decision to write a book was influenced by his late mentor, Chloe Brooks, seven years ago.

“My aim when writing the book was to provide a different perspective on how and why people should develop sharp cognitive skills. I hope this book becomes one of the most influential writings of my generations in order to rewire what we have been fed over the years,” Nyabadza said.

Last year October, he was amongst 53 young people who received scholarships for Queen Elizabeth’s Commonwealth Trust in the UK.

Now back at home, Nyabadza said the Covid-19 lockdown presented him with an opportunity to finish his book with the guidance of his friend Mzo Bhungane.
