Kuselo thankful for support during lockdown

Kuselo Child and Youth Care Services thanked community members and donors for supporting the organisation during the lockdown.

Amanda Coetzee, the founder of Kuselo, said the pandemic had a dire impact on the organisation.

“However, due to the generosity of donors, Kuselo is still operational and able to provide for our children. So many people and companies assisted us during this challenging time, and most of them wished to remain anonymous.

“Thank you to each and every donor for contributing towards the sustainability of the organisation. We wouldn’t have been able to care for the children without their support,” said Coetzee.

The NPO, situated in Boksburg North, temporarily provides a stable home for babies and young children.

Kuselo is a service provider for abused and neglected children who are removed from their homes through statutory processes such as the welfare/SAPS while the investigation is pending for a period of 90 days.

Thereafter, the child will be placed into a foster care system or with a respective care system if qualified and screened through the welfare and approved by the courts.

The centre is need of donations like food, clothing, stationery, nappies, wet wipes and blankets.
