The organisation needs various items for cancer survivors and their caregivers
Were you looking to donate to a local organisation this October? If so, look no further.
The Reiger Park Cancer Support Group needs your help.
With October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the group has provided a wish list with a few items that are needed by cancer survivors.
Ulita Billings, founder of the Reiger Park Cancer Support Group, said: “Due to lockdown, we couldn’t hold our cancer events to raise funds for our survivors and caregivers. We are now running low on stock to provide to our survivors and patients that are undergoing chemo and radiation treatment.”
Their wish list includes diapers (medium and large), instant soup, Ensure nutrition shake, Replace shake, Future Life cereal, linen savers, ginger tea, surgical gloves and masks, hygiene wipes, hand wash, Vaseline, toothpaste and face soap.
The items can be dropped off at the Reiger Park Pick n Pay.
For monetary contributions, donations can be made to the group’s Absa bank, savings account, account number 9314731368 with the reference “donations”.
