As part of their mission to flush out drug dealers in the streets of Ekurhuleni, members of the EMPD busted three people for narcotic possession, and possibly dealing in drugs over the weekend.
According to EMPD spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng members of the Drug Enforcement Unit handcuffed a couple on Jika Street, in Vosloorus, after the two were found in possession of five ziplocks of khat, 11 ziplocks of crystal meth, 97 ziplocks and 460g of dagga in a plastic pack. The drugs valued at R8 000 and R1 860 cash were seized.
The pair was escorted to Vosloorus Police Station.
Meanwhile in Kwanele section, Katlehong, the officers arrested a man they found in possession of eight quarter and five half Mandrax tablets valued at R650 with R130 cash. The suspect was taken to Katlehong Police Station.
The trio is expected to appear in their respective courts facing charges of possession and dealing in illicit substance.
