Hoeksteen Gemeente resumes Sassa services

Mary-Ann Jacobsz, who was there to apply for a disability grant, said it’s a blessing Sassa has resumed its services in Boksburg North

Many senior citizens can breathe a sigh of relief as Sassa resumed its services at Hoeksteen Gemeente (the old Strelitzia Service Centre in Champion Street, Boksburg North) on October 13.

Sassa is offering its services at the church every second Tuesday between 8.30am and noon.
The Advertiser visited the church on October 27, where congregation member Corrie Roets described the day as a success, adding the main reason the church is making its premises available to Sassa is to assist the elderly.

Mary-Ann Jacobsz, who came to apply for a disability grant, said it’s a huge blessing that the service has resumed.

“I’m extremely happy as it’s convenient for me to come here than rather go to Reiger Park.
“The Sassa staff are also friendly and helpful,” she said.

All visitors must adhere to Covid-19 regulations.
