A sewage blockage that affected the Bokkie Park dam in Boksburg has been addressed and the dam rehabilitated from the sewer impact, said the Ekurhuleni metro.
Emmanuel Maphorogo, head of parks in the City, reassured patrons of the Bokkie Park that all animals are safe and all hands are on deck to maintain all municipal recreational facilities.
“We appreciate the concerns constantly raised by the residents with regard to the upkeep of all municipal facilities as that serves as another form of alert of service interruption. We, therefore, call on all residents to come to our parks to experience the beauty of nature on their doorstep,” said Maphorogo.
