Boksburg police are investigating a case of business robbery after the Debonairs Pizza store in Leeuwpoort Street, Boksburg CBD, was robbed on November 21.
According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Ntsako Ledwaba, a gang of five entered the business just before 8pm and threatened staff at gunpoint.
“They then herded all the workers into the kitchen where they were forced to lie on the floor before their cellphones were taken by the robbers, who were clad in face masks and gloves.
“A staff member was instructed to open the safe and she told the assailants the safe was not working.
“She was then dragged to the till and instructed to empty it. The robbers took an undisclosed amount of money before taking the staff member back to the kitchen where the others were and fleeing the scene,” said Ledwaba.
No shots were fired and no injuries were reported during the robbery.
