Boksburg North SAPS Youth Crime Prevention Desk is calling on volunteers

The Boksburg North SAPS Youth Crime Prevention Desk is encouraging the youth to become part of the solution by joining the youth desk. Seen here are some of the young people who have joined the youth desk with the Boksburg North SAPS officers.

The Boksburg North SAPS is inviting young people to join the station’s Youth Crime Prevention Desk (YCPD).

The youth desk is looking for volunteers who are between 18 to 35 years of age.

Lucky Le Roux, the YCPD chairperson, said: “We want young people in the Boksburg North precinct to actively get involved in the fight against crime and building a culture of learning among young people.”

Le Roux said the group will identify the causes of youth violence and they will collaborate in creating social crime prevention strategies to end crime.
