Mnelisi wants to empower others through modelling
Miss Teen East Rand is a beauty pageant that uplifts visionary models to become the best version of themselves
Mnelisi Capa (17) from Dawn Park is a Miss Teen East Rand semi-finalist and is determined to use this platform to be an anchor of hope and empowerment to the youth.
Capa, who is also the Face of East Rand 2021, said she entered the competition because she felt an urge to start a modelling career.\
The aspiring model explained her experience in the competition encouraged her to get out of her comfort zone.
“I am working towards starting my organisation, which will equip young people in my neighbourhood with practical skills that can be used to generate an income.
“Substance abuse among youngsters is also a huge challenge. I am working towards collaborating with rehabilitation centres to help eradicate the problem,” the Falcon Educational School matriculant said.
