Insimbi’s first pageant a success
The main objective of the beauty competition is to spread awareness of and raise funds for the conservation of rhinos
The Insimbi Legacy Projects, an NPO focusing on rhino conservation, recently announced the winners of its first Beauty With a Cause competition.
The results are as follows:
Little Miss Rhino Hope (girls between the ages of two and six): Kaylee Duvenhage (4)
Junior Miss Rhino Hope ((girls between the ages of seven and 12): Shelby Smith (12)
Miss Teen Rhino Hope ( (girls between the ages of 13 and16): Buané Cordier (13)
Little Mr Rhino Jack (boys between the ages of two and six): Logan Greyling (2)
Junior Mr Rhino Jack (boys between the ages of seven and 12): Dylan de Vos (10)
Mr Teen Rhino Jack (boys between the ages of 13 and 16): Wian Auret (17)
The winners won a sash, certificate of achievement and a gift box.
Ambassador of the Insimbi Legacy Projects and local businesswoman Sharon Janse van Rensburg described the competition as a success.
“We’re grateful that we received more entries than we expected,” the ambassador explained.
She thanked those who contributed to the success of the event.
“We appreciate the assistance we got from the public and media. Every donation and likes and shares Insimbi got on social media helped us to spread awareness,” she added.
