Scam alert: The Advertiser is not affiliated to this woman
The public is urged to report anything they suspect is a scam involving the Advertiser's name or branding
It has been brought to the attention of the Advertiser that a woman by the name of Cindy has been canvasing businesses in town, trying to sell jewellery to them and then claiming the funds go to Cansa – and that she will also put their business card/advert in the Boksburg Advertiser if they buy jewellery.
One of our advertisers at the Dubai Centre in Rietfontein Road was approached by the woman, and she immediately contacted us.
The woman left a business card which stated the company name, Elegance, and her name, an email address and phone number.
Caxton Local Media and Boksburg Advertiser are in no way affiliated to any person trying to sell jewellery and/or collecting funds for Cansa.
Local businesses who may be approached by such a person are urged to report it and can at any time phone us to verify the employment of our sales consultants.
The Advertiser’s sales consultants’ names are Elize Kluyts, Denise Manning and Annelette Bezuidenhout.
