Boksburg man is accused of killing his sister after argument over money

The brother recently made his first court appearance in the Vosloorus Magistrate's Court.

A 54-year-old man is facing charges of murder and arson after his sister’s body was found in Mapleton and her shack burnt down.

According to the Dawn Park police spokesperson, Const Nkemeleng Mabula, the siblings argued over rent payment from tenants occupying their parents’ property.

“When the police arrived on the scene, they found the body of the sister on the ground. An ambulance was called and paramedics declared her dead,” said Mabula.

The suspect was arrested and charged with murder at the Dawn Park SAPS. He recently made his first court appearance in the Vosloorus Magistrate’s Court.
