Health workers encouraged to get Covid-19 innoculation

“Vaccination is a safe and effective way to prevent disease and save lives," explained the metro.

Ekurhuleni’s health and social development department has announced that the vaccination roll-out of healthcare workers will soon be halted.

On account of that, the metro encourages all healthcare workers in the City to complete their registration on the Electronic Vaccination Data System to get their inoculation at their nearest vaccination site.
Those who have not yet received the voucher stating which site to visit will be assisted on-site to verify their registration.

Healthcare workers include professional nurses, staff working at health facilities, disaster management personnel, social workers and environmental health care workers.

“Vaccination is a safe and effective way to prevent disease and save lives. The Covid-19 vaccine prevents severe illness, hospitalisation and death in the event of contracting the virus,” explained the metro.
