A double-trailer truck lost its cargo of beer while travelling along the Pretoria Road overhead bridge on the N12, on May 28.
The Advertiser arrived on the scene on Friday evening and found the truck, which flipped over the barrier and landed on its side.
Crates packed with bottles full of beer fell from both trailers and were scattered all over the grassy road embankment.
Looters were seen snatching what they could before the police managed to disperse them.
It’s unclear what caused the accident and if anyone was injured when the truck overturned.
The truck was later removed and the crates and debris were cleared after the incident.
It’s unclear how much stock was lost.
