Abusive son’s appeal postponed

He appeared briefly in the Boksburg Magistrates Court on June 10.

Emmanuel Mamogobo’s application for leave to appeal his sentence was again postponed, to June 25, following his two years’ direct imprisonment sentence.

The 31-year-old appeared in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on June 10, where his case was postponed.

In February he was found guilty of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm to his mother in January last year and guilty of assault on a police officer while resisting arrest.

He has since appointed a defence lawyer to represent him after he conducted his defence during his previous trial.
