The City of Ekurhuleni Mayor, Mzwandile Masina, honoured members of the EMP for their long service, dedication, loyalty to service and outstanding service.
During the first day of the two-day medal handover ceremony held at the EMPD Logistics Precinct in Kempton Park on June 21, the mayor heaped praises to some of the officers who have diligently served the City, and some who have been in the service for 46 years.

“You constantly have to respond to life-threatening situations and you have served with pride and professionalism. On behalf of the people of Ekurhuleni, I thank you,” said Masina.
Masina warned the officers against engaging in any form of corruption.
Masina will continue to honour other members of the EMPD today (June 22) at the same venue.
