The attempted murder trial of Mozambican national Mario Kumbe, which was scheduled to start in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on August 25, was postponed to October 27 due to the unavailability of the accused’s lawyer and an interpreter.
The 32-year-old is accused of assaulting a 52-year-old man with a claw hammer on June 9 while the two were in a vehicle driving along Pretoria Road.
Kumbe pleaded not guilty to an attempted murder charge on June 10.
