Security personnel robbed off R280 000
The police are calling on anyone with information to come forward.
A 36-year-old man was rushed to hospital on September 7 after gunshots were fired at his white bakkie. At the time he was driving along Commissioner Street.
The victim, who works for a private protection security company, was robbed of his two guns and an amount of R280 000 after withdrawing it at a local bank.
Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Sgt Ntsako Ledwaba said the man was on his way to a scrapyard in Germiston when he was corned by the suspects along Commissioner Street.

“It is alleged a black BMW overtook the victim and then suspects pointed an AK-47 at him. The victim was forced to stop.”
Ledwaba said it is alleged one of the five suspects that were in the car came out and asked for the man’s rifle.
He was apparently pushed out of the vehicle before the suspects made off with the loot. The police have opened a case of attempted murder and armed robbery.
The Boksburg police are appealing to anyone with information to contact the police on 08600 10111.
