Exploring career day at Geppetto-Kids

Geppetto-Kids pre-school children had fun while learning about the different kinds of careers.

Dressed as firefighters, doctors, police officers, lawyers and other professions, pre-school learners of Geppetto-Kids had fun during the school’s career day on September 17.

The Delmore Park-based ECD invited officials from the Department of Health, Gauteng Traffic, social workers, firefighters, Makopane Security, teachers, pastors, SAPS and EMPD members to encourage and teach the children what they do in their respective fields.

The little ones looked cute in their outfits, which melted the hearts of officials who attended the career day.

According to Veronica Nunn of Geppetto-Kids, in line with the school’s Grade R curriculum, they hosted a career day to highlight the importance of community helpers and prepare the children for their future.

“All the Grade R and Grade RR learners were dressed in what they wanted to be and they enjoyed every moment. To educate the children about the various careers, we invited various stakeholders to share light about what they do,” said Nunn.

After the event, members of the EMPD awarded the pre-scholars with medals and educational crayon books.
