Boksburg SPCA hosts spay day on Heritage Day

According to Vicky Finnemore, the manager of the Boksburg SPCA, the society’s spay day was a huge success.

Boksburg SPCA helped to sterilise a total of 13 cats and 39 dogs during its spay day on Heritage Day.

The day is aimed at shining a spotlight on the importance of preventing unwanted kittens and puppies.
According to Vicky Finnemore, the manager of the Boksburg SPCA, the society’s spay day was a huge success.
The manager expressed her gratitude to vets, vet nurses and everyone who assisted with the initiative.

“Boksburg SPCA is so grateful to Dr Liané van der Westhuizen, Dr Nadine Nagel, Dr Tinash Zangure, Dr Perushka Mandri-luyt and Dr Natalia Ferreira for giving up their public holiday and offering their services free for animal welfare,” said Finnemore.

The society also held a walk-in adoption day and vaccination, microchipping and rabies vaccination drive on the day.
