A woman (31) has opened a case of rape at the Boksburg North SAPS. She claimed three men took turns raping her in front of her nine-year-old son.
The incident, she said, took place at her Driefontein house along Main Reef Road, opposite Angelo informal settlement, at about 23:00 on November 6.
She told the police that she was home with her son when three men forced open the door and entered the house.
According to Boksburg North police spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, the woman said although she couldn’t see the men as it was dark she could tell there were three of them from the voices she heard.
“They asked about the whereabouts of her partner, and she told them that her boyfriend was not around,” he said.
“One of the men allegedly removed the blanket and pushed the woman’s son off the bed and started raping her, followed by the other two men.
“The child’s face was reportedly pressed down into the mattress during the rape when he tried to scream for help.”
The police are appealing to anyone with information, which may help the police to trace the three suspects to contact the Boksburg North SAPS on 071 675 6986 or 08600 10111. Tip-offs can be made anonymously.
