
Home invasion
• Thieves forced open a door into a residential property in Cilliers Street in Cinderella and stole valuable goods, including a TV, watch, amplifier and clothing, on November 2.
• Residents in Cason woke up on November 5 to find that thieves entered their home and stole a TV set and speaker. The intruders forced open the sliding door to gain entry.
• A pair targeted a residential house in Muller Street, Parkdene, where they stole valuable items on November 5.
The homeowner told police she was at work when two men, armed with a crowbar, forced their way into her home and confronted her daughter before helping themselves to some of the household contents.
The intruders locked the daughter in a room and started to ransack the house, stealing a TV set, cameras, pellet guns, laptops, guitars, cellphones, watches, jewellery, a computer hard drive and a DVD player. They then fled the scene. The daughter was unharmed.
Burglary
Burglars forced their way into a business in Commissioner Street near Boksburg Lake and stole stock during the night between November 7 and 8.
Workers arrived on Monday morning and found the door forced open and items, including car batteries, stolen.
Sexual assault
Boksburg police have registered a case of rape and assault after a 13-year-old Parkrand girl reported a series of rapes and assaults she suffered at the hands of her father and his fiancée between January 2017 and March 2021.
The victim, who was removed from the home, told social workers the fiancée assaulted her and her father was sexually abusing her, raping her mostly when he was under the influence of alcohol.
