Police believe they have made a breakthrough in the murder of Gauteng Traffic Police officer Khweli Dali (55), following the arrest of a 30-year-old man.
The suspect appeared in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on November 16 for a formal bail application.
According to Hawks spokesperson Capt Ndivhuwo Mulamu, the man was arrested in Germiston on October 15 and charged with murder and theft of a motor vehicle.
Dali, who worked for the Wadeville Transport office, was murdered at his Witfield home on October 9. The police said he died as a result of head injuries sustained during an attack.
