Alleged drug dealer arrested in Reiger Park

To prevent crime, police in the area have also intensified their crime prevention activities, such as stop-and-searches, across their area.

Intensified efforts to curb the drug trade in Reiger Park led to the arrest of a suspect who was caught with a significant quantity of drugs in the township.

Officers stormed a residential house after they received information that someone was selling drugs from the house.

Police said upon arrival, they spotted a 31-year-old man who they then asked to search. They found, in his possession, drugs hidden inside a tin and a small bag.
The discovered illicit drugs included 25 packets of crystal meth, 15 packets of Cat and five packets of dagga. Police also seized R1 510 believed to be the proceeds of crime.

Police commended members of the public for assisting them in the fight against drug dealers across the policing precinct.
