Nineteen injured in Boksburg crash

The injured patients were treated on the scene before being transported to Tambo Memorial Hospital for further care.

Nineteen adults were injured in a collision involving two minibus taxis and a truck on Innes Road in Jet Park (November 30).

According to ER24 spokesperson Ross Campbell, ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at around 17:40 along with one other private medical service.

They found that all those involved had managed to self-extricate from the vehicles and were both male and female adults who were being transported home from work.

“The driver of the truck was not injured in the collision. All the patients on the scene were found to be suffering minor to moderate injuries. Thirteen of those were treated and transported to the hospital for further care and the remaining three declined transportation,” explained Campbell.

Campbell pointed out that ER24 transported 10 of those patients to Tambo Memorial Hospital for further care and the other three were treated and transported by the other private service on the scene.

Metro police were also on the scene for further investigations.
