Boksburg North SAPS arrested a man for stabbing his partner and her daughter in Eighth Street on the night of January 22.
According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, preliminary investigations revealed the incident was domestic violence-related.
“Police found the woman stabbed in her right breast and her daughter stabbed in her right hand.
“The mother was unable to speak after the gruesome incident. They were both taken to a hospital for medical treatment,” said Ramaube.
Police could not confirm the ages of the victims or the suspect. It is also unclear if the couple were married and if the suspect is the biological father of the daughter who was stabbed.
Police are investigating a case of attempted murder and assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
