A 27-year-old woman was almost raped in her apartment in Madeley Road by a man known to her on January 28.
The victim told police the suspect stormed into her apartment while she was cleaning and started to sexually harass her. The front door and burglar gate were open at the time.
According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, the suspect assaulted her.
“In the bedroom, she was pushed onto the bed and the suspect tried to undress her. The victim screamed for help.
“During the attempted rape, he put an R200 note on her breast. She managed to escape,” said Ramaube.
Police are investigating a case of attempted rape.
