A 28-year-old-man was stabbed to death near the corner of Madeley and Pretoria roads in Hughes yesterday afternoon (February 7).
According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, the incident happened at 14:15. “Apparently, the deceased left his workplace at the carpentry workshop on a bicycle to buy paint in Witfield.
“It turns out that on his way back, unknown suspects robbed him of his bicycle and stabbed him in the chest with an unknown object.
“Preliminary investigations indicate after he was stabbed, he tried to walk back to his workplace. However, he fell and succumbed to his injuries.”
Police are investigating a case of murder. They appeal to community members to come forward with information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
