City adds 10 buses to its fleet

These buses are expected to be on the road as early as next week.

In ensuring safe and reliable public transport for commuters, the City is adding 10 buses to its fleet.

This is an addition to dozens of buses that ferry the young and old across the City on daily basis.

MMC for Transport Planning in the City Alco Ngobese said the additional buses will boost the carrying capacity on identified routes within the City.

“We are a City that continues to offer a reliable and safe transport service to the community of Ekurhuleni. These buses are expected to be on the road as early as next week to bolster some routes that are operating at minimal capacity,” Ngobese said.

The buses will be distributed equally on the following routes: Katlehong to Sandton, Palm Ridge to Cresta, Palm Ridge to Isando, Vosloorus to Isando, Vosloorus to Sebenza, Sunrise to Cresta, Pomola to Reiger Park, Katlehong to Edenvale, Germiston to Braamfontein and Eastfield to Primrose.
