Boksburg North SAPS is investigating a case of business robbery after six robbers stormed into the Guess Store at The Palms Centre.
They fled with clothing and cash on February 12.
According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, the incident happened around 13:00.
“A staff member told the police that he was at the tills when one robber pointed a firearm at him and demanded he open all the tills, which he did.
“The robber then instructed the victim to lie down and five other suspects barged into the store,” said Ramaube.
The robbers managed to get away with clothing, till money and staff members’ cellphones. The value of the stolen property is about R100 000, including the cash stolen from the tills.
During the robbery, one of the floor staff managed to press the panic button for reaction officers. The suspects fled the scene in a white Bantam bakkie.
No injuries were reported.
Police believe it is the same robbers, four males and two females, who robbed the store on January 20.
