Another body found in Villa Liza, two suspects arrested

Dawn Park police arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of a 39-year-old man, whose body was found in a veld in Villa Liza Extension Two on February 27.

According to Dawn Park SAPS spokesperson Sgt Nkemeleng Mabula, the body was found by a resident who then notified the police.

When police arrived on the scene, they found the victim had stab wounds to the upper torso. He was dressed in a yellow T-shirt, blue jeans, a green cap and sneakers.

A case of murder was opened and investigations led to the arrest of two suspects, one on February 27 and the other on March 2, in Villa Liza.

The first suspect appeared in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on February 28 and was remanded in custody and the other was scheduled to appear in court on March 3.

This is the fifth body found in the area in the past two months.

The bodies of best friends Tshepiso Ntomane (40) and Retshedisitse Phatswane (31) were found near the Rooikraal landfill site on January 3, the burnt body of a man was found in a veld in Windmill Park on January 24 and the burnt body of Oupa Dimaza (45) was found in a veld next to Windmill Park Estate on February 21.
