Some of the serious cases reported in Boksburg recently:

Killed
Police are investigating the murder of a Jerusalem informal settlement man who died after he suffered gunshot wounds. According to police reports, the deceased, identified as 35-year-old Sikholiwe Charles Dladla, suffered gunshot wounds to the head when he was found lying on the ground on March 17.

Burglars target homes, business
A resident of Sunward Park woke up on March 19 to find that criminals had forced their way into his home on Constantia Road and stole a pricey TV set. Entrance was gained through a broken window.

Also in Sunward Park, thieves forced open the sliding door of a residential property on Jaguar Road, sometime between March 18 and 21, and stole goods worthy thousands of rands.

Thieves forced their way into a business located at 216 Commissioner Street and stole goods worth thousands of rands during the night of March 21.

Hijacked
A resident of Voortrekker Road, Boksburg East, had his car, a Nissan Livina, hijacked as he was leaving his home on March 18. He told police after exiting his yard, he parked the car in the driveway and went to lock the gate. Two of the gun-toting men, described as African males, confronted him and demanded the car keys and his cellphone. He told them both items were in the car and that’s when they jumped into his car and drove away.

Robbed
A motorist had his pricey cellphone taken by robbers as he was driving along Main Reef Road recently. According to police reports, the driver stopped at the dysfunctional traffic lights at the intersection of Main Reef Road and Field when an unknown man grabbed the iPhone 13 Pro and ran away.
