The Boksburg North SAPS is investigating circumstances around the body of a man found dead in a car at a fast food franchise parking lot on Rietfontein Road in the early hours of June 1.
Police have identified the man, who was 48 years old.
According to Boksburg North SAPS station commander Colonel Mack Mngomezulu, the police responded to the scene after being informed there was an unconscious person in a car.
“He was declared dead on the scene. The cause of death remains unknown as we await the post-mortem reports,” said Mngomezulu, who added that an inquest docket has been opened.
