Police need information about alleged road rage incident that may have caused a man’s death

The sought-after Ford Ranger driver allegedly drove off after reportedly assaulting another motorist.

Boksburg North SAPS have launched a manhunt for the driver of a silver Ford Ranger bakkie who was involved in an altercation that possibly resulted in the death of another motorist on June 12 at 20:30 on Atlas Road.

According to Boksburg North SAPS station commander Colonel Mack Mngomezulu, a security guard spotted a commotion between the Ford Ranger driver and a Nissan NP200 driver.

“The male driver of the Ford allegedly assaulted the driver of the Nissan and then drove off,” Mngomezulu.
An ambulance was called to the scene, and the 43-year-old man was certified dead.

A case of murder was opened and investigations are underway. The motive for the assault and the cause of death are unknown.
