The body of a woman who went missing in Primrose on June 27 was found hanging in a tree in Delmore Park on June 29.
According to Reiger Park police spokesperson Constable Zanele Motaung, officers were alerted to the scene by a resident of Delmore Park at 19:00 that day.
“The officers found the body handing in the tree and there was a bag nearby. They searched the bag and found the personal belongings of the deceased, including her cellphone and ID.
“They also discovered that the cellphone contained a message the deceased had sent to her boyfriend, presumably before she died.”
“It was later discovered the deceased woman was reported missing in Primrose. An inquest docket has been opened,” said Motaung.
