A gang of robbers got away with boxes full of cellphones after robbing Triple S Cellular Business in the early hours of July 12.
According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Constable Justice Ramaube, a 53-year-old security guard told police he was approached by two armed men while he was on duty at the gate.
“They pointed firearms at him and instructed him to lie on the floor. One of the robbers, wearing the same security uniform, stood by the gate while the other robber searched for the victim’s colleagues who were patrolling the premises,” said Ramaube.
Other suspects also entered the premises and took boxes containing cellphones. As the alarm went off, the suspects fled the scene in a Ford Ranger.
No shots were fired and nobody was injured.
Police are investigating a case of business robbery.
