Boksburg North SAPS round up

Police are investigating cases of theft out of motor vehicle, common assault and robbery.

Theft of motor vehicle
• A white Toyota Hilux was stolen at Atlas Mall, Finch Street, Atlasville on the evening of March 31, while the driver was at a restaurant. All the doors were locked and windows closed.
• A Ford Ranger was stolen on Caravelle Road, Impala Park, on March 31.

Theft out of a motor vehicle
A laptop was stolen from a vehicle at East Rand Mall on March 31.

Armed robbery
A man was robbed of his belongings to the value of R14 000 on the corner of Bentel and Rietfontein Roads on March 28, while waiting at a traffic light in a VW Tiguan.

Four men, one of whom was armed, approached the car and demanded the driver’s belongings.

Theft from a motor vehicle
Thieves stole six wheels of a white Volvo truck on Jones Road on the morning of March 30.

Common assault
Police are investigating a case of common assault after a man head-butted a potential employer during a job interview in Dr Vosloo Road on March 30.

Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson, Sergeant Justice Ramaube, said the police were told the man started swearing at the employer after he asked him about his sales experience.

“The employer stood up to shake the man’s hand, but the man just head-butted him. The employer then pushed him away.”
