Local dancers shine at Dance World Cup
These items receive top marks and are included in the South African dance team that will take part internationally at the Dance World Cup finals in Portugal in June this year.
Advance dancers from STUDIO7 Dance Company in Sunward Park received outstanding results at the latest Dance World Cup South Africa held in Centurion recently.
Solo dancer Jané van Niekerk excelled with a second place in hip-hop solo and four places in contemporary and also lyrical solo.
Duet and group results:
Hip-hop duet: first place
Modern group: first place
Hip-hop group: second place
Lyrical group: third place
Contemporary group: fourth place
