Following his TKO loss to Tristan Naidoo in September, Boksburg boxer Justin Mostert got some reprieve when he earned his first professional boxing points in his split draw against Edenvale hardman Carl van Blerk on November 25 at Emperors Palace. The match was scored 37-39, 38-38 and 39-37 by judges Dawn Bensch, Davin van Niewenhuizen and Thando Xamlashe as it ended in a split decision draw.
