After acquiring her adaptive scuba diving certificate, Alphen Park resident Jessica Pita is the new Ambassador of the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) for South Africa. Pita, who is legally blind, made a splash in November in the Indian Ocean, in Mozambique, becoming the first blind adaptive scuba diver in South Africa.
